About the role
What you'd be doing.
When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity to recommend a business, a small number of names come back. Primero works on the inputs that decide which names. Our clients are established businesses that want to be in that answer in their category and city.
This role owns the conversation from first contact to signed agreement. You'll speak with owners and managing partners, understand what their business actually needs, present our engagement where it genuinely fits, and say so plainly where it doesn't. Research and materials for each conversation are prepared for you.
It is a consultative sale to experienced decision makers, not a volume role. We'd rather you had a small number of substantial conversations done properly.

Responsibilities
Run discovery conversations with business owners to understand their market, their economics and whether we can help
Present our engagement clearly and accurately, including what we do not promise
Walk clients through their own visibility findings and answer questions about the method
Manage each opportunity to a decision, and close out the ones that aren't a fit rather than leaving them open
Issue the agreement and hand the client cleanly to delivery
Keep accurate notes and pipeline records
Feed back what you hear from the market so the offer keeps improving
Requirements
Demonstrable experience closing four or five figure B2B deals remotely
Comfortable speaking with owners, founders and managing partners as a peer
Able to learn a technical subject properly and explain it in plain language
Disciplined with follow-up and CRM hygiene
Reliable, consistent availability in either Australian or US business hours
A quiet space, a good microphone and a stable connection
Happy working on commission with no ceiling rather than a base salary
Helpful, not essential
Experience selling marketing, SEO or professional services
Existing relationships among owners of established local businesses
Familiarity with how AI assistants are changing how people find suppliers

You'd rather work a high volume of small deals than a small number of larger ones

What we provide.
Research for every conversation. Each prospect's visibility is analysed across five AI assistants before you speak to them, so you arrive with something specific to their business rather than a generic pitch.
Finished materials. Proposal, scope of work and supporting documents are written and current. You are not building collateral.
Technical backup. The founder joins calls for technical questions whenever you want them there.
Proper onboarding. You'll be trained on the method itself, not handed a script to read.
Exclusivity you can rely on. We work with one business per category per city, so you'll never be asked to sell against a commitment we've already made.
Compensation
Commission only, no ceiling.
Engagements are five figures, so a small number of closes a month is a serious income. Full commission detail is shared in the first conversation.

Commission only, with monthly recurring commission on every client you bring on, for as long as they stay. No ceiling.
